If you are searching for festivals..

If you are only familiar with the most well known festival in Europe or haven’t made up your mind yet where do you want to go, it worth to have a look at a complete list of major festivals…whether you are thinking about going to Eastern Europe or planning a trip around the continent!

If you have some free time and would like to make the most of this summer(and also have the funds for it!) Try to find few festivals that interest you and do a festival summer!

General rule applies here as well…the earlier you book the cheaper price you get! So what are you waiting for? Take a look at the list, gather your friends and start booking! Few festivals might be sold out already, so make sure you have the tickets before you organise flights and accommodation.

Have a festival-fun summer!

Festival Survival Kit

Speaking from experience, here are a few things you will need to bring with you to ensure survival…

1. Wellies – be smart about it! Realistically you’re gonna be wading through knee high slush and mud so don’t go wearing shoes you don’t want to be destroyed.
2. Baby wipes – like I said, slush and mud!!
3. Flash lights & batteries – you’ll need it to find your way back to your tent.
4. Dry Shampoo – you’re not going to have electric showers so prepare to be scruffy for a few days.
5. Sun Cream – even if you’re staying in Ireland for a festival, bring it! That sun can be surprising and appear at anytime!
6. Pain killers – for that lovely hangover!
7. An old phone – don’t be silly and bring your iPhone, big mistake!
8. Rain Jacket – duh…
9. Water – it usually costs a bomb when you’re there so bring some with you.
10. Glow Sticks – because they’re cool!
11. Anti-bacterial hand gel – trust me, the things you’ll be in contact with will be disgusting!
12. Ear plugs – nobody cares if you’re trying to sleep!
13. Toiletries – bring toilet roll, deodorant, tooth paste & brush.
14. Valuables – do not bring them!!
15. A sense of humor – you’re going to meet all types of people in all different states of minds!
16. Cigarettes – even if you don’t smoke, cigarettes can be traded for things you do need.

Here’s a few other tips I found useful;
-Once you arrive, choose a meeting point easy to find to meet back up with your group if you become separated.
-Mark your tent with a flag or position it near something that will help distinguish it from the hundreds of other green tents!
-Have a buddy system, stick with somebody and don’t go wandering off by yourself!
-Doesn’t matter how cute that boy is, don’t take drinks off people because you just never know!
-Have a copy of the line up & times so that you don’t miss your favorite act!
-Try not to be too upset if your tent is robbed, if you follow my advice you shouldn’t have any valuables to rob anyway!
